A BIG congratulations to our own Ron Brown who has been named 2010 Volunteer of the Year from Friends of Baseball. (from FoB website) Four honorees for these awards have recently been announced. Along with the Portland Beavers and the Eugene Emeralds we are very pleased to pay tribute to these individuals. In each case these recipients share not only their time but also the values that can be learned through baseball and softball. Our three organizations look at these individuals as Ambassadors for the thousands of coaches and volunteers who serve in our communities. Our congratulations to these Honorees and to all who "give back" to our kids through this game. 2010 Coach of the Year (Portland Region) Tim Saylers ~ Milwaukie Junior Baseball Association 2010 Volunteer of the Year (Portland Region) Ron Brown ~ Centennial Little League 2010 Coach of the Year (Eugene Region) Jason Williams ~Willamette Valley Sheldon Babe Ruth 2010 Volunteer of the Year (Eugene Region) Gary Taylor ~ Oregon District Nine Little League These four individuals will be honored with on field ceremonies with the Portland Beavers and Eugene Emeralds. Below is a list of the approved volunteers for the 2010 season. The individuals below has submitted to a background check and have been approved to volunteer within CLL. Please remember that any individual who will have regular contact with the children on the team, or act as a representative of a team or the league, must submit a completed volunteer form and pass the background check.

We now have a presence on Facebook and Twitter! On Facebook we have a fan page, if you are a member of Facebook, please consider joining our fan page. Important information will be posted there and it gives CLL families a forum to post their insights into the league. Our Twitter feed is for a different purpose. CLL will use Twitter to send out important time sensitive announcements. An example would be the change of venue for the Parent meeting on 3/9. A Twitter went out announcing that the location had changed. Along with out website, Facebook and Twitter compliment CLL well. In the spirit of transparent communication, please consider joining our Facebook page and subscribing to our Twitter feed. Centennial Little League maintains a field complex of 6 fields located at near the corner of 182nd avenue and Division St, in Portland Oregon.
